The Bexley Lions Boys Wrestling team took to the mats this weekend at the Ron Thomas Sr. Invitational at Jonathan Alder High School. The Lion Grapplers scored 43 points and placed 18th amongst some of the top competition in the area as well as the state. Leading the Lions with top 8 finishes were sophomore Thomas Helvie who finished 4th in his weight class (175). Joining him as a top 8 finisher were senior Rodrigo Nunez who placed 6th (144) and sophomore Jacob Thacker-Ho who placed 7th (190). Next up for the Lions is the Licking Heights Invitational hosted by Licking Heights High School on Saturday, 1/17/2026.
