Coach Gustin begins his fourth year as Head Basketball Coach at Bexley High School. The Lions look to improve on an 10-4 finish in the MSL that proved to be second best. Dave enters his 17th year as Head Coach and 27th overall. He was previously the Head Coach at DeGraff Riverside and London High School. Dave teaches Health and Physical Education at Bexley High School. He and his wife Beth have 2 children, Monica 18 and Marcus 15.

Varsity Assistant Boys Basketball Coach - Joshua Price
Joshua is entering his first year as a Varsity Assistant. Joshua was previously the 8th Grade Coach for the past three years. He graduated from Bexley High School in 2000 and from Otterbein College in 2004 with Sport Management and Physical Education Degrees. Joshua currently is the Physical Education Teacher at Oakstone Academy. He has also been married to his amazing wife Jessie since August. 

Varsity Assistant Boys Basketball Coach - Mike Price
Michael Price begins his second year as Varsity Assistant Basketball Coach. For the past five years Michael has been a Recreation Supervisor with the City of Bexley. A 2002 graduate of Otterbein College and a 1997 graduate of Bexley High School, Michael has been coaching Basketball for the past 5 years at a variety of levels. Michael has also been married to his amazing wife Jessica going on 3 years. 

Junior Varsity Boys Basketball Coach - Brycen Baugh
Brycen Baugh is the new JV Basketball Coach at Bexley HS. For the past six years he has taught Social Studies and coached Basketball at Piqua High School, just north of Dayton. Brycen was the Freshman Coach one year, Varsity Assistant for two years and the last three years the JV Coach. Previous to that he coached Junior High Basketball for four years in Fairborn and one in Xenia. One of the reasons for getting into to coaching was his dad, who was Brycens' Varsity Coach at Fairborn and is now the Varsity Girls Coach at Dayton Christian. He has also been married to his wonderful wife Sherry for four years.

Freshman Boys Basketball Coach - Mark Liefeld
Mark Liefeld is in his fourth year coaching 9th grade Boys Basketball at Bexley. Currently a science teacher at Bexley High School, Mark is a Capital University and Bexley High School alumnis. His previous coaching experience in Basketball includes coaching both Boys and Girls at the HS level at Logan Elm and Reynoldsburg High Schools.

8th Grade Boys Basketball Coach - Rich Gatterdam
Graduated from Bexley HS in 1983. Was a member of the Boys Basketball State Championship Team. Went to Denison University from 1983-1985. Graduated from The Ohio State University in 1988. Worked for Columbus Coal and Mine for several years. Previously coached 2 years of middle school Basketball. Is a Bexley resident. Has two daughters, Kate and Emily who attend Bexley schools.

7th Grade Boys Basketball Coach - Mark Lytle
Coach of Bexley Rec 6th Grade Travel Basketball Team for four seasons, including the past three seasons. Coached and assisted with numerous Basketball, Baseball and Soccer teams at rec and travel levels during the past 19 years. Son Tim played 4 years Varsity Basketball at Bexley. Daughter Jessie played 4 years varsity soccer at Bexley. Bexley resident, with wife Pam, for past 26 years. 1975 graduate, Ohio Wesleyan University.

Captains for the 2007- 2008 Lions
John Haenszel - Senior
John is the middle child of Laurie and George Haenszel. He has an older brother, Matt, who is a junior at the University of Dayton and a younger sister, Ellen, who is a freshman at the Columbus School for the Girls. John lettered his freshmen year in golf, junior year in track and field and his senior year in football. This upcoming year will be his second year on the varsity basketball team. John is excited about the upcoming season and is eager to lead the Lions into league and district contention as a senior captain.
David Edelstein - Senior
David is the son of Jeff and Phyllis Edelstein. He has an older brother, Jake who is at OU, and a younger sister, Casey who is a freshman at Bexley HS. David is a four sport athlete at Bexley HS. He has lettered twice in golf - earning 2nd team all league as a freshman. In football, David has lettered once, earning 2nd team All-League and All- District last year. He is also a captain on the football team. David has also earned two letters in tennis. He was 2nd team all league last year as well as all district. Last year David lettered in Basketball.
Seth White - Junior
Seth is a three sport star at Bexley HS. He plays quarterback for the football and has earned three letters. Last year he was All-League Honorable Mention. Seth has lettered twice for the baseball team. In baseball Seth has earned 2nd team All-District, All-League Honorable Mention, and District Honorable Mention in the last two years. Seth has earned two letter playing basketball for the Lions and looks forward to a successful season. Seth has two great parents David and Toya and has two brothers and sisters.
