Boys Basketball Coach - David Gustin
Coach Gustin begins his sixth year as Head
Basketball Coach at Bexley High School. Dave enters his 19th year
as Head Coach and 29th overall. He was previously the Head Coach at
DeGraff Riverside and London High School. Dave teaches Health and
Physical Education at Bexley High School. He and his wife Beth have
2 children, Monica 20 and Marcus 17.  Varsity
Assistant Boys Basketball
Coach - Joshua Price
Joshua is entering his 3rd year as a Varsity
Assistant. Joshua previously coached the 8th grade at Bexley. He
graduated from Bexley High School in 2000 and from Otterbein College
in 2004 with Sport Management and Physical Education Degrees. Joshua
currently is the Physical Education Teacher at Maryland Elementary.
He has also been married to his amazing wife Jessie since August
of 2007.
Varsity Assistant Boys
Basketball Coach
- Tom Diehl
Coach Diehl begins his 28th year of coaching, his first at Bexley
High School, after spending the last six years at Hartley High School.
Other stops include Licking Heights, St. Charles Prep and West Jefferson
High school where Tom is in his 16th year as an English teacher,
18 years of teaching overall. Tom attended Ohio State University
and graduated from Ohio Dominican College, has been married to his
wife Monika for nine years and they have a seven-year-old daughter
Megan.
Junior Varsity Boys Basketball
Coach - Brycen Baugh
Brycen Baugh is in his 4th year as the
JV Basketball Coach at Bexley HS. Previous to his time at Bexley,
he taught Social Studies and coached at Piqua High School. Bryce
graduated from Fairborn High School in 1995 and Wright State University
in 2000. Bryce and his wife Sherry have one child, Natalie, who
will be two in March.
 Freshman
Boys Basketball Coach - Mark Liefeld
Mark Liefeld is in his seventh year coaching
9th grade Boys Basketball at Bexley. Currently a science teacher
at Bexley High School, Mark is a Capital University and Bexley High
School alumnis. His previous coaching and teaching experiences have
been at Logan Elm High School (1978-1984) and Reynoldsburg High
School (1984-2000). Mark also coaches Boys Tennis at Bexley.
8th Grade Boys Basketball
Coach - Rich Gatterdam
Graduated from Bexley HS in 1983. Was a member of
the Boys Basketball State Championship Team. Went to Denison University
from 1983-1985. Graduated from The Ohio State University in 1988.
Works for The Columbus Coal & Lime company which is a commercial
& residential masonry supplier in the Central Ohio market..
Previously coached 2 years of middle school Basketball. Is a Bexley
resident. Has two daughters, Kate and Emily who attend Bexley schools.
7th
Grade Boys Basketball Coach -
Mark Lytle
Starting his third season coaching boys
7th grade basketball. Previously coached the Bexley Rec 6th Grade
Travel team for 4 seasons. Coached and assisted with numerous basketball,
baseball and soccer teams at rec and travel levels. Son Tim played
4 years varsity basketball at Bexley. Daughter Jessie played 4 years
varsity soccer at Bexley. Bexley resident, with wife Pam, for past
28 years. |

Adam Leeds
Adam is the son of Marcy and Doug Leeds. He has one sister Rachel
who is a sophomore at Wittenberg University. This will be Adam’s
2nd year playing for the varsity team. Adam has played football
for 4 years at Bexley, serving as the starting quarterback this
year. In the spring Adam has run track for the last three years.
Away from athletics, Adam is president of his National Honor Society
Chapter and vice-president of the Latin Club. Adam is undecided
on where he will be going to college, but he does plan to major
in engineering.
Matt Asensio
Matt is the son of Lynn and Mike Asensio. Matt has a younger brother
named Trey. This will be Matt’s third year on Varsity for the Lions.
Last year Matt was 2nd team All-MSL. Matt has also played soccer
for four years. He plans on attending the University of Cincinnati
next year to play is soccer and major in business. In his free time
Matt enjoys lifting weights.
Reuel Rogers
Reuel is the son of Howard and Shianne Rogers. He has a younger
sister Britanni, who also attends Bexley High School. This will
be Reuel’s second year on varsity. In his first year on varsity,
Reuel was named to MSL Honorable Mention team. Reuel is undecided
on where he will attend college and what his major will be.
